Poker is a card game where players bet depending on the amount of the card combination ("hand") that they have. They place this best in a common place – referred to in poker terms as a central pot. The winner is one whose cumulative card combination is the maximum. One more method to determine the winner would be to look for the one who remains in the hand even after all the other players have folded up. This being the underlying rule of poker, there definitely can be differences depending on the rules and regulations that govern the cards and bets. Based on these, the different versions are named straight, stud, draw and community.
The “straight” variation of the game is the oldest of all and in this a total hand is used to each player, and players bet in one round, with rising and re-raising allowed. However, today more complicated strategies are used in the game. How the “draw” version of the poker game goes is that, each player is allowed a complete hand face-down and is allowed to attempt to change their hand by discarding unwanted cards and being dealt new ones after betting. There is some marked variation between the methods followed in stud and community, as in the latter, players can make use of the cards placed at the centre of the table to make a 5-card hand. Texas hold-em and Omaha are famous methods slightly varying from this Community format.
Chips are the primary currency for the game of poker and are available with the casino representative. In some casinos, we find chip runners to facilitate selling chips to the players. Each and every casino has its own set of regulations – for example, some of them do not allow their players to use cash to play and some others don’t allow their players to buy from each other at the table.
Dealer' button or a buck decides the right to deal a hand and this rotates amidst the players. In a casino, the dealer is in charge for the cards for every hand, but the button which is a white plastic disk rotates clockwise among the players to decide a dealer to find the order in which bet are placed. More than one player is required to play forced bets categorized into ante or blind or even both. The dealer shuffles the cards, the player one chair to his right cuts, and the dealer deals the appropriate number of cards to the players’ one at a time.
Now that we are done with the various forms of poker, let’s stray our attention to the various forms of poker that are played in tournaments. For improved returns, there is always a good mix of various games – HORSE stands out among the lot and is a combination of Hold’em, Omaha, Razz, Stud and Stud Eight. It is history that at least one type of stud or community card poker game has a marked place in each and every poker tournaments. Another form of poker that needs special mention is the game of sit and go. This game starts off when all its players are seated and hence they are called sit and go. They begin the games when a particular number of players register and then it becomes a regular poker tournament where the usual rules and regulations are followed.
Unlike any other game like cricket or baseball, poker does not need a properly infra structured venue. You can play poker in a casino or college campus or even over the sea – Surprised! Don’t be – because it is a fact that the World Series of Poker games in 2005 and 2006 were played over the sea at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas. The first ever poker games in the history of poker tournaments began in 1970 and that was when eminent champions like Johnny Moss, Amarillo Slim, Bobby Baldwin, Doyle Brunson, and Puggy Pearson plunged into the limelight. Poker became very prominent thanks to books like The Theory of Poker by David Sklansky. The best was yet to come and poker continued to grow through 80’s and 90’s. It was during this time that the innovative minds invented online poker and poker started being played in drawing rooms as well.
Online poker rooms must be thriving in business for this to grow and reap more benefits. Since making money out of these casinos is of ultimate importance to these house owners, they put into vogue certain intelligent methods to raise their profits and make more money on their businesses. They collect Rake from most real money ring game pots and this is usually levied as a percentage of the pot based on a sliding scale and capped at some maximum fee. This being said, the amount and fixation of the rake for every online poker game is at complete judgment of the owner. However this does not apply to pre-scheduled multi-table and extempore sit-and-go tournaments. In these cases, an extra entry fee is charged by these poker rooms. This entry fee mostly ranges around ten percent of the actual fee – that is the tournament fee and this gets added to the tournament cost. Sometimes, what these houses do is they also offer black jack or side bets on poker hands on their online poker sites. On these sites, the players play for real money against these houses. Since the odds are against the favor of the houses, the online poker houses make more money than the players actually do. Also these online poker houses collect money as deposit from their players. There is no clause that binds them to pay these players the interest on the deposit money and hence these online poker houses reap a double benefit when they invest this money in other funds or financial institutions.

If you are not interested in reading books you can always see a film about poker instead. I saw one yesterday evening that was very good. It is relaxing to just sit down in front of the television and se a movie. It is harder to read. I got some nice poker tips thanks to the film that I will practise the next time I visit an Internet casino.

There are a lot of nice poker books on the Internet for those who want to learn how to play poker. I have a favourite and that is Doyle Brunsons book called “the bible of poker”. I really recommend you to read this book. It is very easy to read and is very educational. If you want to become a very good poker player and perhaps have the same dream as I have: to become a professional poker player you had better study this book. I think I have read it seven times and I always discover something new. Doyle Brunson is really a very good poker player. He is very strategic in his playing. Maybe he is the very best!

There are many professional poker players in the world. I have always tried to study them. One can learn a lot of how to gamble while watching a good player. One of my favourite players is Doyle Brunson. He is a very nice man and he is so very good at playing poker.
Doyle Brunson was born in Longworth Texas in August 10, 1933. He became the first professional poker player to win over a million dollars in playing at tournaments. That is fantastic. In 1962 Doyle married a girl named Louise. The together gave birth to four children. The children are called Todd, Pam, Cheryl and Doyla. When Doyla was only eighteen years old the died and that was a big tragedy for Doyle.

Some years ago I went to Rome with some friends in order to see s lot of the fantastic town. I had heard it was so very much to see here. People had told me about how fantastic the town is and I was very pleased to go there with my nice friends Peter, Marcus and Anne. But what we discovered was that the city is so full of tourists and one has to stay in lines where ever one want to go. It was very hot when we were there too so we became really fed up with it. Finally we did not want to go out. We stayed at the hotel room and started to play Black Jack instead.
First I was the dealer. I was very lucky and won almost every game. The game is about to come as near twenty-one as possible, as I think you already know. Many times I got nineteen and twenty points and one time I got twenty-one. That is really difficult to get. But I was lucky. Even though we did not like to stay in Rome because it was too hot and too crowded we had a very nice vacation while playing Black Jack at the hotel room.

When you have studied how to play a casino game you might want to try to start to play. I think it is best to start to play without betting any money. To become a player that wins a lot of money you have to practise a lot first. Maybe one can win some money on the roulette wheel without practising, but in order to become successful in for example poker playing one really has to practise. In a poker game one has to be very strategic and there are many rules in this game. Best is to play for some months with the friends first. Try to find some friends that are very good at playing poker. In every school there are one pupil that is very good at playing poker. Try to make friends with him.
When you think you have practised enough you can start to visit some Internet casino. There are some really good casinos where you can get nice bonuses. It is best to start playing at a casino that offer a good bonus, because in that case it is not likely that you loose to much money. Practise your skills and see how good you are at poker or Black Jack. Then start to play.

There are different ways to learn how to play at the casinos. The best way to learn is to travel with a friend or a relative to some real casino. There are some famous casino towns in the world. The most famous of them all I think is Las Vegas. To go there with some really good player is really very educational. I went there with my older brother John. He is a very good poker player. He usually plays Texas Hold’em. I followed him to Las Vegas when I was eighteen years old. It was an amazing trip. I think I learnt a lot on this journey.
Another way of learning how to play for example Black Jack is to look it up on the Internet. There are some very nice casinos at the Internet that provides schools. There you can read all about how to play for example Black Jack. It is easy to learn this game if you study it hard.

My intention with this blog is to write about gambling. I am interested in any gambling what so ever. I will write about any gambling one can do on the casinos. At a casino one can play poker and roulette. I also love Black Jack. I think I love Black Jack the most in fact. It is very easy to play and even though one is not that skilled one can win some money. I have won some money when playing Black Jack at Internet Casinos.
